CLASSES ON OFFER
The purpose of this class is to provide participants with an opportunity to have a bit of a groove, have some fun, socialise and increase their fitness; much like a social sport team.
Perhaps you’re an ex-dancer who’d love to get back into it without taking it too seriously. Or perhaps you’ve never danced in your life but you’d like to learn something new. This class is open to anyone.
The class runs for one hour and includes a warm-up with some strength and flexibility exercises. The remainder of the class is then spent learning a short routine. As this is a casual class, there are no formal performances. The objective is to learn and have fun - not to perfect for performance. Participants engage in different routines from week to week and routines vary in style. Styles include jazz, lyrical, contemporary, broadway, hiphop and everything in between.
I guide participants through the choreographic process each lesson, focussing on style, technique and execution. Appropriate differentiations are made along the way to accomodate for all abilities and levels.
Standard Class
As a new Mum myself, I’m constantly on the lookout for fun things I can do with my baby! This class is for Mums (or Dads!) with babies who they can bring along in a baby carrier and dance whilst carrying their baby.
To be clear, this is a class for the parents, so there will be no "Wiggles" numbers or anything from Disney unless specifically requested! But music is appropriate for young ears and choreography is designed to accomodate the wearing of a baby carrier.
As per the Standard Class, participants will engage in a variety of different styles from week to week and there will be no formal performance. The objective is to learn and have fun - not to perfect for performance.
Differentiations are made to accomodate for all abilities.
